Author J. Stanley reading and storytelling to children

J. Stanley is a children’s author and technologist who writes stories that ignite curiosity and inspire young readers to explore both imagination and innovation. His books bridge the worlds of creativity and science—where friendly robots, thoughtful adventures, and real-world technology meet timeless lessons about kindness, curiosity, and human connection.

His favorite creation, The Grumps, grew from family moments and has become a beloved character across his books. His stories encourage children to think, laugh, and grow in both wisdom and wonder.

A proud grandfather of seventeen grandchildren, J. Stanley began crafting stories from family moments that turned into bedtime favorites. Those experiences, filled with laughter and wonder, became the heart of his storytelling. In his AI Adventures series, including Bots & Buddies — My First Look at AI, he introduces children to the exciting world of artificial intelligence through play, humor, and hands-on learning.

Born in Roswell, New Mexico in 1957 and raised in a military family, J. Stanley’s childhood was filled with global adventure—living in the Philippines, Panama, and across the United States from Maine to California. These travels inspired his deep respect for cultural diversity, discovery, and education—values that shine through in every story he writes.

Beyond storytelling, J. Stanley has spent decades working in Information Technology, specializing in healthcare. He brings this real-world expertise to his STEM-inspired books, helping children understand how technology can be used creatively, responsibly, and compassionately.

He publishes under two imprints that reflect his mission: Wonder & Faith Press (faith & values) • AI Adventures Press (STEM & AI)
